Giada De Turco nasce in Sardegna, terra antica e ancestrale, da cui attinge ispirazione per il suo percorso artistico. La sua espressione trova forma nella creazione di ceramiche. Il dialogo con la natura è ciò che dà vita all’opera e ogni composizione è il risultato di un connubio tra la ceramista e i quattro elementi naturali: terra, acqua, aria, fuoco. Lo stile si rivela originale nelle forme, in modo istintivo ed arcaico, fortemente ispirate alla terra Sarda, con la sua anima più vera e l’orgoglio che da sempre la contraddistinguono, caratterizzando forme, colori, durezza…tendendo a dilatare le coordinate dello spazio e del tempo.
L’artista seguendo la natura con spontaneità e naturalezza, ama esprimere i propri impulsi con un linguaggio mediato da simboli e immagini suggestive. Le sue rappresentazioni trovano compiutezza nella ricerca tra stati di comprensione e di contatto con l’inconscio; il pensiero si integra con l’immaginazione, la razionalità con la sensibilità, il polo maschile proiettivo con quello femminile ricettivo.
L’artista vive in una necessaria alleanza con la natura che dà corpo alla sua immaginazione.
Giada De Turco was born in Sardinia, an ancient and ancestral land, from which she draws inspiration for her artistic journey. Its expression finds form in the creation of ceramicists. The dialogue with nature is what gives life to the work and each composition is the result of a union between the ceramicist and the four natural elements: earth, water, air, fire.
The style reveals itself to be original in its forms, in an instinctive and archaic way, strongly inspired by the Sardinian land, with its truest soul and the pride that have always distinguished it, characterising shapes, colours, hardness… tending to expand the coordinates of space and time. The artist, following nature with spontaneity and naturalness, loves to express her impulses with a language mediated by symbols and suggestive images.
Her representations find completeness in the search between states of understanding and contact with the unconscious; thought integrates with imagination, rationality with sensitivity, the projective male pole with the receptive female pole. The artist lives in a necessary alliance with nature which gives body to her imagination.
